Born 1948, Belgian, economist, "Agrégé de l'enseignement supérieur" (equivalent to PhD, from UCLouvain / ICHEC agreement), Professor of International Economics with tenure at ICHEC - Brussels Management School, Vice-President of the RTI - Robert Triffin International/University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

Past senior adviser to the European Commission (DG Economic and Financial Affairs), past-adviser to the Joint Vienna Institute (IMF Institute subsidiary), to the ECLAC/CEPAL- United Nation Secretary (Santiago), past-adviser to the Research Department of the National Bank of Belgium, Visiting Professor in various Universities (UCL – Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, Aix-Marseille II, & Ecole Nationale d’ Administration – ENA – Strasbourg, France, and also in Chile, Peru, etc.)

After retirement from the EU Commission (2013), independent researcher and consultant dedicated to International Monetary issues (IMF, EMU, regional safety-nets) and other systemic aspects, especially in the Euro-area, Latin America and Africa.
